About
TLDR; Katiana is an Armenian American copywriter, tastemaker, and thing doer based in SF. She dabbles in many creative mediums like filmmaking, music curation, and music-making. But most importantly, she’ll ideate, collaborate, calibrate, and wordsmith-erate the heck out of your communication needs for audiences around the globe. Now open for biz.
Want to hear more about how it all started? Done in true Nardwuar fashion: At the witching hour of a night in 2009, a fellow USF classmate pulled Katiana into the KUSF 90.3 FM studio to co-pilot a graveyard shift. Among the walls of musty LP’s, she found a Shell Silverstein record (yes, he made a record 🤷,) played it at a demonically slow 78 rpm, and slipped the midnight airwaves a dose of Dr. Demento on Valium. Fast forward to graduation in 2013, where she went from college radio disc jockey to live events booker, curator, and copywriter at a little startup called WillCall. She then followed WillCall to Ticketfly and Ticketfly to Pandora, where she developed Ticketfly’s brand voice and email program, wrote cross-promo copy for Pandora, and launched and curated Ticketfly’s iOS app in 2016. From there she branched off to hone her own voice, working for various organizations like the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival and SF Sketchfest. She’s currently stationed at Toaster, an SF based creative agency, writing copy for YouTube.
